The Governance Support Team at Lewisham provides valuable administrative, policy and research support to the Council’s elected members and is also responsible for the servicing of meetings of the Council, Mayor and Cabinet and other decision making committees.
The role will involve the servicing of meetings both formal and informal, prompt and effective preparation and dispatch of agenda and minutes; preparation of reports, and undertaking other duties from time to time which may involve working across all sections of Governance support.

What we’re looking for
Knowledge of the Local Government Act 2000, as well as drive, enthusiasm and keen judgement are all important to this role as is your ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure. Experience in a similar role would be an advantage.
