About the role
We are looking for a bright and articulate intern with an interest in financial services to join our Corporate Affairs team for a full time internship. The post is initially for three months, with the possibility for this to be extended to six months.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with both the UK Government Affairs and Media Relations teams on high profile business and consumer-driven PR campaigns, as well as on the IA’s government relations strategy. The role will include compiling written reports and briefings on key industry and government issues for use by our members and Executive Committee; researching and drafting press releases and other media communications; and monitoring media and Parliament.
About the candidate
The successful candidate will be highly literate with good written and oral communication skills. They will have a good understanding of current affairs and an interest in the business landscape, as well as an interest in politics, government and the media. They will also have a positive outlook, a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail and be willing to take on tasks at short notice and deliver them successfully.

Interviews will be held at the IA's office near Liverpool Street (or by Skype for those unable to come to London) in May and June.
