The Children and Young People's Mental Health Coalition are currently recruiting for an exciting new role to enhance the Coalition’s reputation amongst decision-makers in order to improve the lives of children and young people affected by mental health problems.

The Public Affairs Officer will work with the coalition and its members to support the development of campaigns, key themes and influencing strategies. We are seeking an exceptional candidate with a broad range of policy and influencing skills and the passion to create change.

The successful applicant will have the ability to champion change from an in-depth knowledge of policy issues relating to children and young people and/or mental health. You will work alongside one part-time member of staff and report to the Head of Children and Young People.

CYPMHC is a coalition of organisations from across England committed to improving the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people. It was launched in 2010, and operates as an independent organisation, hosted by Centre for Mental Health.

Centre for Mental Health are a charity with over 30 years’ experience in providing life changing research, economic analysis and policy influence in mental health.

The Children and Young People's Mental Coalition is hosted by the Centre for Mental Health. The successful candidate will be an employee of the Centre who are also supporting the recruitment process.
