Job Details

Bromsgrove Conservative Association is looking for campaign volunteers to help in the office over the summer of 2019. Volunteers will report to the Campaign Manager, and will gain first hand experience in a campaign office. The position will provide a great opportunity for volunteers to enhance their CVs: covering both professional office experience and an overview of local politics, the running of election campaigns and the production of campaign materials.

Bromsgrove is the constituency of Sajid Javid MP and has recently run a successful local election campaign, holding the Council with a majority of 3.

The specific tasks to be undertaken will vary– they may include, but not be limited to:

  • Inputting of data from surveys and general data management
  • Helping with canvassing, data collection and other campaigning
  • Monitoring local press and local news
  • Assisting with management of social media
  • Volunteer engagement and recruitment
  • Literature production and distribution

The Conservative Party is a voluntary organisation and the role advertised is a voluntary one. There are no set hours and responsibilities and you are free to come and go as you wish. The local party provides reasonable travel and refreshment expenses to volunteers.

The Conservative office is located in Bromsgrove town centre, around 30-45 minutes by train from Birmingham, or by train/bus from Worcester or Droitwich.

W4MP Note:
The role being advertised is a voluntary one. As such, there are no set hours and responsibilities and you should be free to come and go as you wish. If the post demands set hours and/or has a specific job description you may be deemed to be a ‘worker’ and be covered by National Minimum Wage/National Living Wage legislation.
