Job Details

Paul Hamlyn Foundation is one of the largest independent grant-making organisations in the UK. We aim to help people overcome disadvantage and lack of opportunity, so that they can realise their potential and enjoy fulfilling and creative lives. We have a particular interest in supporting young people and a strong belief in the importance of the arts.

Our evidence and policy functions are important in helping the Foundation and the organisations we support to work effectively, to develop new approaches and to share what we are learning with others, to widen impact in our priority areas.

We are recruiting an experienced Policy and Projects Officer to join the Foundation’s Evidence and Learning Team, reporting to the Director, Evidence and Learning and working closely with the Director, Policy and Communications.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a range of internal projects, helping to scope new ways of working and funding programmes, working closely with colleagues across the organisation. You will also support our work with partners on projects across a number of fields, helping to build relationships and to co-ordinate our approach to working with others.

You will help the Foundation to use evidence from the work we fund and elsewhere to respond to policy issues in the range of areas in which the Foundation has an interest. You will be someone who wants to help the Foundation and those we support to learn and to share their messages more widely to advance social justice.

The successful candidate will have experience of policy development and project planning and have the skills required to work co-operatively with a range of people. We are looking for someone with good organisational skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to work flexibly in a changing environment.
