Full time / 4 days a week, 6-month contract

Role:
In this role you will:
Lead the communications activities of a specific campaign including; creating and managing the creation of compelling and engaging content, managing external consultants, creating and running social media adverts
Generate positive media coverage for the organisation by seeking out and developing story ideas, building relationships with journalists and pitching stories
Provide communications support for a specific six-week Summer event including; generating content to promote the event including high profile speakers, providing briefing support during the event for external visitors and managing an agency to create a film
Contribute to the day-to-day operations of the team including; management of channels (website, social media, digital newsletters) and supporting engagement with officials, politicians and funders.
Candidate:
Significant experience of communications work, including leading projects
Experience of communications strategy/planning, including audience analysis, message development, content planning and scheduling
Demonstrable experience of generating positive media coverage, good knowledge of UK media environment and building relationships with journalists
Experience of digital communications including maintaining and updating websites and building social media communities
Excellent written skills, able to draft communications that reach out to a range of diverse audiences.
