Job Details

This is an exciting opportunity for a bright and enthusiastic candidate to work with a well-established professional team at the cutting edge of leading corporates’ climate action. The successful candidate will provide important data and content which will support the commercial proposition of the low-carbon solutions across the world that we help our clients deliver.

Government action on climate change throughout the world remains insufficient, but many companies are showing leadership.

For more than 20 years, Natural Capital Partners has been at the forefront of providing global environmental solutions for those corporates striving to have a positive impact on the environment and communities. Through our products and services, we craft credible and innovative solutions across multiple countries and continents to best fit our clients’ needs.
We work with more than 300 clients in 30 countries, including Marks & Spencer, Microsoft and Sky, which are addressing their environmental impacts while improving their operating and financial results. Our tailored products and services include carbon emission reduction projects, renewable energy and water.

We are seeking a research intern for our London office, to deliver research to improve the contextual information of our projects. Our project portfolio includes solar and wind power projects, household devices like fuel-efficient cookstoves, and reforestation and forest conservation projects. The Intern will be responsible for using secondary research to offer our clients and prospects better and more up-to-date information about the local context in which the projects operate and the global picture of the low-carbon solution being deployed. This information will likely include respected research sources such as the World Bank’s Open Data and Project Drawdown.

Central to the role is an interest in learning more about low-carbon technologies across the world and their deployment. The successful candidate stands to learn a significant amount about these technologies and the private sector response to climate change.

This role will be based in our Fleet Street office and reports to and collaborates closely with our Marketing Manager. The role will also involve working with others in our marketing team in London and in our Global Markets team based in London and the US.

Closing Date: 24 June 2019

Interviews will take place on 27th and 28th June, ahead of a provisional start date of 8th July. We will be flexible for the right candidate’s summer holiday plans. If these exceed two weeks’ holiday, please enclose details of your availability in your cover letter.
