Working For: 38 Degrees

Location: London

Salary: £40,000-£60,000

Length of Contract:

Job Details

38 Degrees is a multi-issue political campaignign organisation - but you probably already knew that  :)  Our in-house tech team want to hire a couple more people (currently we have 5 full-time developers, plus some work farmed out to contractors and agencies).

There's a job advert and application form here:
https://boards.greenhouse.io/38degrees/jobs/4300904002

The main technologies we work with are Ruby, Postgres, AWS, and Heroku, but if you have relevant experience with a different tech stack (and want to learn ours fast!), then we're still interested in talking to you.

On this occasion we want to hire in the mid-to-senior range, so we're looking for people with a minimum of a few years web development experience, rather than fresh bootcamp graduates. We offer a choice of two office locations (London and Edinburgh) but don't currently offer regular remote working.

Applications through the link above will be shortlisted 'blind' (i.e. the person who decides whether to interview you won't see your name, age, gender, etc - just your answers to the six questions at the end of the form).

Closing Date: 31 July 2019

Interview/Start Dates

We will be interviewing as candidates apply, and hiring as soon as a good candidate is found. So, first come, first served.

Application Details

Our hiring process starts with the six questions at the bottom of the application form linked above. Anybody shortlisted will be asked to join us for a coding test and some tech questions, and anybody who passes that stage will be asked back another day for a roleplay activity and a panel interview.

We move fairly quickly - usually feeding back the day after each stage - although we may be slower when a lot of people apply at once. We do aim to reply to all applications.
