Job Details

We are looking for a talented, developing leader to support Care City’s work as an innovation centre for healthy ageing, testing and growing the use of digital innovations across health and care services. This is a chance to develop your career, and to make a real difference in an exciting team, where big ideas meet real public services, and help them to do better.

About us

Care City is a Community Interest Company. We research, innovate and educate to enable a happier, healthier older age. We aim to be the innovation partner to our local health and care system. We have the freedom to take risks and be radical, and the partnerships to achieve real, practical change. We are a young organisation, and a talented, committed and friendly team.

About you

You are looking for a challenge and to be inspired. You want to work with public services - but not necessarily in public services - to change the world for the better.

You have some experience of research, innovation, design or project management, but more importantly, a willingness to learn. You take responsibility for yourself, your work, and your learning and development. You have the relentlessness to make change happen, and you want to make it your career. You are looking for a platform for your career, not a conveyor belt. You have strong people and problem-solving skills.

About the role

Care City is a project-based organisation with a small dynamic, supportive team. We are delivering a number of different projects, for partners ranging from NHS England to UCLPartners and the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham. At present our work includes scaling social prescribing, supporting carers to learn and thrive and helping to deliver new innovative technology into the hands of our local junior health and care workforce and test it within our local patient population.

With this range of work - and the freedom to develop new projects to support healthy ageing in East London – we are able to help colleagues learn from diverse projects, focus on the areas they are most passionate about and work with us to develop programmes of work for the future, which grow as they develop.
