BASC is the largest shooting organisation in the UK, serving a growing membership of around 155,000. It acts as a representative body for responsible and sustainable shooting – encouraging opportunity, high standards and wildlife conservation.

BASC is looking for an individual with political experience who will develop programmes to establish strong links between parliamentarians and prospective parliamentary candidates of all parties and BASC clubs, syndicates and members, in Eastern England.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Good communication skills.
  • Planning and organisational skills
  • Commitment and ability to respond to the requirements of the role
  • Enthusiasm, self-motivation and the ability to motivate others
  • Experience of a parliamentary or other political environment.
  • Support for the values of BASC

Working with the eastern regional team and reporting to the Executive Director for Communications and Public Affairs, the position is office or home based and will involve travel throughout their region and occasionally the UK.

Interview/Start Dates

The provisional interview date is Thursday 15th August 2019 at the BASC Head Office in Rossett, North East Wales.

There is currently no set start date, but as soon as possible is desirable.
