The Director will execute all activities to establish & operate ICCF UK as a secretariat to the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on International Conservation including

1. Establish ICCF office in the UK

  • Oversee acquisition & establishment of office facilities
  • Ensure registration of ICCF UK & compliance with all laws
  • Develop understanding of objectives & methodologies of ICCF, ensure that ICCF UK operates in a manner aligned with ICCF globally
  • Maintain communication with ICCF President

2. Develop agenda & build APPG

  • Develop a programmatic agenda for initial UK-based activities
  • Organize, & encourage MPs & staff to participate in, APPG recruitment
  • Conduct follow-up to encourage MPs to join the APPG

3. Event Preparation, Implementation & Follow-up

  • Liaise with policymakers & stakeholders to facilitate their involvement in project activities
  • Perform activities relating to the scheduling, preparation, implementation, & follow-up for all project briefings & events
  • Liaise with US staff during program development & implementation

4. Develop information & communication strategy for approval by ICCF President

5. Develop partnerships & secure financial commitments to support ICCF UK programs & activities

6. Provide information & documentation to the ICCF President & communications team in a timely manner for communication to the ICCF network; report to ICCF President of all ICCF UK activities & financial transactions

7. Additional duties in support of ICCF’s mission

Skills

  • Fluent English; proficiency in other languages a plus
  • University degree
  • 3-5 years of management experience
  • Experience/knowledge of non-profits a plus
  • Work well in a multicultural, interdisciplinary, multilingual, global team
  • Proven professional abilities & technical skills working with complex multicultural operations & teams
  • Willingness to oversee & execute a variety of programs & tasks
  • Excellent manners
  • Self-motivated
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, & communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities & projects, & meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work with a team but capable of working independently

Reports To ICCF President (Washington D.C.) & APPG for International Conservation

Full-time, occasional travel to US & other ICCF sites
