Researcher

Minimum skills, knowledge and experience needed for this role

  • At least three years’ experience in a research role
  • A strong grasp of mathematics and economics in principle and practice
  • Managing policy research
  • Creating and managing policy committees
  • Writing reports on specific policy areas
  • Source, develop, and maintain of a library of policy and research material including facts and figures, documents, briefings, policy positions, correspondence and any other relevant material to aid the day-to-day knowledge and specific projects
  • Develop and curate briefings, policy responses, and other material
  • Turn complex ideas into digestible and interesting communications pieces
  • Provide general support across the organisation

Campaign Manager

Minimum skills, knowledge and experience needed for this role

  • At least three years’ experience of end-to-end management of large purpose-led political party campaigns, movements or similar cause-led campaigning organisations
  • Experience of successfully developing relationships with external and internal contractors and stakeholders at all levels
  • A clear and demonstrable understanding of what the challenges are when working for membership or campaigning organisation
  • Experience of developing action-led acquisition and engagement strategies, including social media marketing, e-marketing, e-fundraising and volunteer recruitment campaigns.
  • Comfortable managing budgets
  • Experience of developing digital campaigning infrastructure and improving processes, tools and systems
  • Experience of using data for analysing and reporting on performance of a large campaign
  • Skilled at thinking creatively to develop new approaches and materials to further engage external stakeholders
  • Ability to manage own workload effectively
  • Ability to write clear and engaging copy and manage distribution lists
  • Ability to turn complex political ideas into digestible and interesting communications pieces
