Turley is a national planning and development consultancy. We are looking for an energetic and focused individual to join our Strategic Communications team in Northern Ireland – on a fixed term 6 month contract to support new project instructions.

We lead on community, political and press engagement to shape attitudes, generate support and secure planning permission. We work alongside clients delivering strategic property and infrastructure development across the UK and Ireland.

We are experts in campaigning, consultation, and creative solutions. As a professional service in an employee company we work with co-owners across our planning, design, heritage, economics and sustainability to deliver results for high profile projects and clients.

We are seeking an Assistant Consultant to support continuing growth in our Belfast and City of Derry~North West offices. With the aspiration of a career in public affairs/public relations your role will be to support our senior team to develop project strategy, and deliver public exhibitions, press management and councillor engagement in order to minimise planning risk.

You will be passionate about press and social media campaigns and their role in community consultation, and have a demonstrable interest in current and political affairs in Northern Ireland.

Our ideal colleague will be educated to degree level; be highly organised and flexible; a confident face-to-face communicator with excellent writing ability. A passion for the built environment and knowledge of Northern Planning system and local government is important but not essential; and any previous consultancy experience is desirable.

We are seeking an Assistant Consultant / Consultant who wants to gain experience in Public Affairs, Marketing, Public Relations or Community Consultation, and has an interest in the development sector in Northern Ireland.
