The Role

We are looking for a Stakeholder and Events Officer to work with the Policy and Public Affairs team and the wider Engagement Directorate the Engagement Directorate. We need someone with a common sense approach who can work in a fast paced environment. This would suit someone who is interested in moving into public affairs and events as a career – importantly we need someone who is curious about the society we live in and passionate about the work The National Lottery Community Fund does.

You can formulate ideas around how key stakeholders and organisations can be turned into ambassadors. You will have a key eye for detail and will need to be good with tight deadlines and able to work well and confidently with senior colleagues.
You’ll support the Policy and Public Affairs team with the development and delivery of the Fund’s Stakeholder Engagement strategy. This will include supporting the delivery of a programme of stakeholder events and coordinate our presence at key sector external conferences so we can have meaningful and effective engagement with the Fund’s key stakeholders. This will also be achieved through supporting the role out and embedding of a new Stakeholder Management System (Salesforce), including supporting internal culture change so people use the system.
We are at an exciting stage in further developing the Funds engagement agenda – and this role will support culture change across the organisation, whilst driving forward our engagement with the charity and voluntary sector.

The Person

  • Can demonstrate ability to use Salesforce or alternative stakeholder management system.
  • A strong interest in UK current affairs, developing topics, issues and themes.
  • Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and is a self-starter.
  • Experience of supporting external events, and be willing to learn to develop a Fund-based events programme.
