Catherine Bearder MEP is hiring an intern in her office in the European Parliament in Brussels. This internship will offer a first experience for a graduate to learn about the work of an MEP and the functioning of the European Parliament.

The intern will initially only be contracted until the end of October (but this may change when we stop Brexit).

The main role of the intern will be to provide basic administrative and research support to a very busy office. Candidates must be flexible, willing to learn and self-motivated. The applicant will need to be degree educated. Sympathy with the aims and values of the Liberal Democrat party are essential.

The duties of the intern will include:

• General office administration
• Supporting the formulation of press releases and letters
• Some supervised social media monitoring and website management
• Research for casework and policy issues
