We have an exciting new position within our expanding embedded analyst programme. The role offers an unique experience to be both part of the global security team of a major global corporation, and part of our own in-house analyst team. Time commitment is split between client and Assynt responsibilities on a structured and transparent basis, typically on a 60-40% split.
Client work will focus on delivering bespoke threat assessments on key locations and events, providing a strategic context to key threats being monitored by the security operations centre, and responding to analysis requests from stakeholders. The role has broad coverage across the EMEA region, with a particular focus on Europe and several high priority countries in the Middle East and Africa.
The Assynt work will involve analysis and writing as part of our in-house global analyst team that delivers The Assynt Report, our geopolitical risk subscription service. This provides strategic monitoring, in-depth assessments and predictive analysis on key geopolitical, security and commercial risks in emerging markets for major global organisations.
Responsibilities
- Deliver quality analysis and assessments on a long-term schedule of pre-planned work as part of a structured programme.
- Write clearly, concisely and accurately with an understanding of corporate security priorities
- Be proactive and communicative in building relationships with colleagues in both organisations.
- Strong self-discipline, good attention to detail and highly effective time management.
- Flexibility, self-confidence and ability to get up to speed quickly on a country of little or no prior experience.
- Identify, analyse and evaluate political and security threats and their likely consequences in a commercial context.
- Follow client company’s procedures and processes
Skills
- 2 years' work experience in security threat analysis role.
- Bachelors degree in related field
- Broad knowledge and understanding of global security and geopolitical threats.
- Experience of providing security threat analysis to commercial clients.
- Regional expertise in the EMEA region, and any specific sub-regions.
- Native level English language required; additional languages are advantageous
- Solid relationship building skills
