The candidate will also receive training in online systems such as iNews, Mio and Silvermouse as well as basic editing skills. They will be given the opportunity to shadow the programme Producers and Production Manager, which will allow them to learn how to support the team’s management and administration requirements, develop research skills and gain television production experience. Hours will be spread across five days per week and will frequently include late evening work.
The ideal applicant will be outgoing, with strong numeracy and literacy skills and will have a genuine interest in pursuing a career in news or current affairs.
