South London Cares is seeking a warm, approachable, empathetic and resilient people-person to join our team for a six month period, helping to manage our ambitious pro-active Winter Wellbeing project.

The project will run from October 2019 to March 2020, and through a series of interactions and interventions will help older neighbours to stay warm, active and connected during the most isolating time of year.

Working closely with our Volunteer & Outreach Coordinator and the delivery team, the successful candidate will be responsible for communicating regularly with older people; organising the sourcing and delivery of various items to help ensure our older neighbours are neither left alone nor left behind during winter; reaching out to older people in supermarkets, chemists, GP surgeries and other community locations; and vital record keeping.

So we need someone who loves working with people, who can relate to and build trust with neighbours from all backgrounds including those in difficult situations, and who has high-quality communication and administrative skills.
