Job Details
An exciting opportunity to help promote the profile of the UK’s Green MEPs
At the European elections in May, the Green Wave that has swept across Europe finally reached the UK. The UK now has seven Green MEPs – representing regions from the South East to the North West of England.
The new, bigger UK Green delegation is seeking a Media Coordinator to help streamline its messaging, and ensure the seven MEPs are communicating effectively to defend democracy, tackle climate chaos, fight inequality and ensure the UK remains in the EU.
You’ll be responsible for liaising between MEP offices to improve the media and social media profile of the whole UK Green delegation. This will require working closely with each MEPs’ own media staff, the Green Party of England and Wales press office, and the Greens/EFA communications team based in the European Parliament.
The successful candidate will be a great writer, with proven experience of using social media for maximum impact. You will thrive in fast-paced environments, be strategic, flexible, quick thinking, decisive and have excellent political antennae. Importantly, you will also have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to manage competing priorities calmly and effectively.
