Historic England - We are the public body that looks after England's historic environment. We champion historic places, helping people to understand, value and care for them. This is an exciting time to join us in our newly created Analytics Department for a 1 year secondment/FTC. As well as the opportunity to lead on research developing insight into the historic environment within the wider UK environmental policy and development contexts, we also offer a wide benefits package including a competitive pension scheme, a generous 28 days holiday, corporate discounts, free entry into English Heritage sites across the county and development opportunities to ensure you achieve your goals. Having just won the Gold Award from MIND, we also recognise the importance of a healthy work -life balance. Therefore, we offer the flexibility in your working day to create a pattern that works for you.

Senior Environmental Analyst - Focusing on expanding aspects of Historic England's understanding of natural environment, climate change, landscape and rural land-use data, you will identify and focus on areas where greater research and analysis is required. You will manage the development of innovative research looking at how the historic environment fits into the natural capital accounting framework, working closely with our Strategy & Listing Department. You will help to develop and publicise a new Heritage Counts publication entitled "Heritage and the Environment". Your work will provide critical evidence for advocacy purposes and will help to build a greater evidence-led appreciation of the importance and value of the historic environment.

With experience of managing or producing public policy research, designed to influence decision making, and a proven ability to analyse and interpret research and numerical information to draw clear, concise conclusions, we'd like to hear from you. You have excellent writing skills and are able to organise and deliver outputs to a tight timeline. A natural communicator, you are able to develop constructive partnerships with key contacts across the historic environment sector. You are also delivery focused and a team player.
