The Campaign Manager oversees the planning, implementation and review of political campaigns. They will assume responsibility for end to end project delivery and will be responsible for the management of other team members on their specific campaigns. They will be the principal contact for the client and will be expected to work unaided on the management and implementation of the campaigns and projects in their portfolio.

Experience Required:

  • Management of at least two campaigns
  • Involvement in at least four campaigns
  • Social media and online campaigning experience
  • Fundraising campaign experience (crowdfunding campaigns desirable)
  • Ability to establish and manage a campaign budget including filing election returns
  • Be proficient in writing privacy policies, GDPR compliance and data management.
  • Working knowledge of electoral law and a keen interest in staying informed about developments in regulations and compliance around elections and data
  • Proficiency in the Nationbuilder software platform with specific experience using volunteer management and editing websites
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro)
  • Experience in working with the press
  • Creating content and implementing a media grid into a campaign or political office

Essential Skills

  • Good organisational skills and attention to details
  • Strong social media management, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn
  • Expert use of Microsoft office programmes;
  • Skills in data analytics and targeting
  • Must be good at encouraging and getting the most out of volunteers
  • Excellent writing skills and ability to draft letters and responses

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Independently planning, managing, and leading specific campaign ground operations with minimal oversight
  • Managing volunteers and campaign staff
  • Helping to draft campaign voter contact plans and message grids
  • Writing surveys
  • Writing campaign literature, articles, blogs, press releases, campaign correspondence and GOTV campaign literature
  • Campaign content creation: text, video, graphics etc
  • Creating networks and relationships to pursue new ideas, find new clients and identify new business opportunities
  • Manage workloads and task completion on projects using project planners and Trello
  • Set and maintain campaign budgets
