Job Details

From members of the public and students, to Vice Chancellors and MPs – the Office for Students (OfS) maintains key relationships with a host of different stakeholders. As the new independent regulator for higher education, it is the job of the OfS to ensure that students from all backgrounds have a fulfilling experience of higher education that enriches their lives and careers. We’re looking for a stakeholder relations adviser to build and maintain our relationships with our key stakeholders.

An exceptional communicator, you will be able to build positive relationships with external stakeholders and talk confidently and accurately about the work of the OfS. You will have a keen interest in the goings-on in Westminster with an ability to keep track of parliamentary business – including inquiries, debates, committee hearings and the wider higher education policy landscape. You will be able to share this information appropriately across the OfS.

Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. On the job you will be advising communications colleagues on strategies for engaging with different stakeholders, writing summaries of parliamentary business, and managing key aspects of high-profile external speaking events. You will take the lead in ensuring that stakeholder information in the OfS’s Customer Relationship Management system (CRM) is up to date.
