Job Title: Projects and Communications Assistant
Working For: Adfam
Salary: £20,000-£22,000 per annum
Adfam works to improve life for families affected by substance misuse. Drug and alcohol use can threaten and ultimately destroy family relationships and wellbeing. As the national umbrella organisation, we empower thousands of family members and carers, support front-line workers and influence decision-makers at all levels to stop this happening.
We are a small, dynamic organisation that punches above its weight. As the national charity focused on family, drugs and alcohol we have a voice in the ongoing debate on this crucial issue touching tens of thousands of people in the UK, as well as in enabling essential day-to-day support.
We are seeking to employ a Projects and Communications Assistant to join a small, energetic and ambitious team, contribute strongly to communications and policy work, organise and manage small events, and lead some discrete projects.
This is a stimulating and demanding role which offers variety and opportunities for exposure to a wide range of stakeholders and partners, including parliamentary, media and representatives from the children, families, and drugs/alcohol sectors.
It is ideal for someone with some experience in an office setting, ideally within the voluntary sector, who is looking for a varied role and lots of opportunities for development. The post-holder will have good communication skills, be adept in managing the priorities of a busy working environment, willing to learn, and have a commitment to supporting and empowering some of our most vulnerable citizens.
Closing Date: 27 September 2019
Applications must submitted by 12.00pm on the closing date.
Interviews will be held on Thursday 3 October at Adfam's office in central London.
