The Labour Party is looking to recruit a Strategic Communications Officer for the Leader of the Opposition.
The successful candidate will provide media support and communications advice to the Leader of the Labour Party and his Office. This will include handling press, broadcasting and digital media enquiries for the Leader of the Labour Party.
You must have experience in writing a wide range of communications materials and be a skilled writer who can prepare and issue media statements and releases for the Leader of the Labour Party. These will often be reactive, so you must not be fazed by working in a high pressure, high volume and fast paced environment. You will equally be experienced in preparing and executing long-term messaging and campaign planning.
You will have experience in managing internal and external stakeholders to deliver communications objectives.
In particular, you will have detailed knowledge of international politics and Brexit and be able to demonstrate a portfolio of writing experience in these areas.
