The Role

The Data and Insights Analyst will support the development and delivery of policy and strategy across the CAA, through the contribution of quantitative analysis, knowledge and expertise. This includes providing research and analysis to help shape the CAA’s regulatory activities.

You will use data to advise colleagues on a range of issues affecting the CAA and the aviation industry such as consumer rights, corporate planning and forecasting, analysis and regulation of commercial entities. You will be responsible for the development and production of the CAA’s internal and external reporting to the public. You will also be expected to communicate your findings to senior colleagues and external stakeholders.

About you

We are looking for a candidate who has ideally worked as an analyst in a previous role. You will have excellent attention to detail and thrive on working with data alongside good Excel skills. Experience in data visualisation (Tableau/PowerBI) and data processing/management (PowerPivot/Query, Microsoft Access) would be desirable. Additionally, experience of statistical software such as SPSS and R would support an application.

We are looking for someone with an inquisitive mindset and demonstrable evidence of using their own initiative to deliver actionable insights across multiple cross-functional projects. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate and articulate their findings to different levels of the organisation and be willing to represent the CAA at external events and meetings.
