Job Details
The National Housing Federation is the voice of affordable housing in England. We work at the forefront of the political debate not only on housing but also on a wide range of other policy issues including homelessness, welfare and planning. Our work affects the lives of millions of people across the country.
Effective lobbying is key to everything we do. We have built close working relationships at the most senior levels of politics and have established ourselves as the ‘go-to’ body on housing issues for Ministers and Shadow Ministers.
We need your support to ensure our voice is heard at the heart of British politics. As our strategic lead for public affairs, you will be responsible for promoting our high profile campaign and lobby aims to Parliament, and supporting our members in their influencing work.
We don't need you to be a housing expert. But you will have a strong understanding of the British political system and how to develop and implement public affairs strategies that have real impact. As a good collaborative worker, you will be advising, supporting and challenging colleagues across the organisation to give the Federation maximum impact.
This is an exciting role with the potential to make a real difference. If you’re up for the challenge, then we would very much like to hear from you.
The Federation is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and we value the contribution each individual makes to our work. We are committed to ensuring our workforce reflects the diversity of the society in which we live and encourage applications from people of all different backgrounds, regardless of all protected characteristics or social background.
