We are looking for an interim Cabinet Support Officer for a short period. You will be responsible for delivering a seamless and high quality support service to the Mayor (Philip Glanville, the directly elected Labour Mayor of Hackney) and his Cabinet. This is a wide-ranging and challenging role responsible for managing multiple diaries, meetings, briefing requests and correspondence on a daily basis. Whilst working in this politically sensitive environment, the role will also require you to work closely with members and officers across all parts of the organisation.

You will need to be a highly motivated, proactive individual with strong organisational and communication skills. Experience of working under pressure in a political environment and at a high level is desirable. You must have experience in independently carrying out duties effectively and in a manner which respects confidentiality and data protection. You must also have experience in independently carrying out duties effectively. Good knowledge and understanding or experience in a political or local government environment is desirable but not essential.
