CONTRACT: Fixed Term until 1 January 2021
As the Director of Communications & Advocacy you will drive all aspects of the Medaille Trust’s communications, including updating the website, production of our magazine and links with print and broadcast media. In addition the role will pioneer our Advocacy work through building links with Parliamentarians to ensure our key messages are heard with policy makers at Government level.
The post holder will be part of the Senior Leadership Team of the organisation and therefore will have a voice in helping to shape our ongoing strategy. The job is home-based, but the post holder will be expected to travel frequently to all our safe houses to maintain direct links to our frontline staff and those they support. They will also be expected to meet regularly with media and parliamentary contacts.
Experience of working either in parliament, in Whitehall, or in a relevant public affairs role, including experience persuading politicians and other opinion formers within the parliamentary context is essential for this position as well as a passion for communicating effectively in the 21st century.
The willingness to travel throughout the country is essential.
