Job Details

Our mission is to communicate policy in a clear, simple, actionable way.

We are a team of professionals with extensive knowledge of the welfare system who are passionate about making social policy work. We empower our clients to help people within their communities, inspire positive change and make the best use of limited public funds.

We are looking for an impact-oriented analyst with experience managing and executing high-level quantitative research projects. You must be passionate about improving how public services are delivered, and keen to develop a high level of policy knowledge.

You will build our research arm; utilize your excellent quantitative analysis skills on a daily basis to design and develop relevant and often new research methodologies to address their research objectives, exploring themes such as challenges within low income households and the functioning of the benefit system.

You will build relationships and submit successful research proposals that utilise and expand our existing datasets, and develop access to linked/related datasets and have the drive, ambition and vision to develop Policy in Practice into a research institute or organization with a similar level of capability and standing

You will also deliver and develop our core analytical products and services to make a difference to the lives of low income people.

The ideal candidate will have a highly quantitative or analytical background and demonstrate a keen interest in social policy with evidence of a passion to make change happen in both central government policy and front line operations.

You will have a postgraduate qualification in a quantitative research field, or several years occupational experience in quantitative research. You will have a desire to apply your skills and experience to complex issues in the welfare sector and beyond. You should have excellent people-skills, and an ability to influence and build relationships quickly.
