Job Title: Executive Assistant (12-month contract)
Working For: City Remembrancer's Office
Salary: £29,250-£32,910 inclusive of London Allowance
We are seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to support the City Remembrancer and his team.
The Remembrancer’s Office promotes and supports the City of London, providing briefings to MPs and Peers and making submissions to Parliamentary Committees.
The Office is also responsible for events and hospitality organised on behalf of the City Corporation, including the Lord Mayor’s Banquet, and for use of the Guildhall by private bodies on a commercial basis.
This is a busy and demanding role so the ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, experienced and highly organised individual who likes a challenge. You will have excellent written and oral communication skills to support the Remembrancer, his PA and other members of the team. An ability to plan ahead and adapt to different priorities is essential. Much of the work is confidential and the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate tact and discretion.
- to ensure the Remembrancer’s diary is up to date in relation to invitations, regular meetings, conferences and forward planning;
- to assist with correspondence, drafting replies, monitoring incoming e-mails and managing an effective bring forward system;
- to carry out research and provide briefing on varied topics.
The post is for 12 months.
You will be based at the City Corporation’s offices at the Guildhall, Gresham Street, EC2.
