Open Doors is a Christian charity, part of Open Doors International, a global NGO network that works in over 60 countries to support and strengthen persecuted Christians.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Press Officer, with exceptional interpersonal skills to play a key role in raising awareness of the increasing persecution faced by millions of Christians. Working with the PR team, you will be responsibile for responding to media enquiries and for building and maintaining contact with journalists; you’ll also enable Open Doors to establish excellent long-term relations with mainstream and Christian media. You will deliver press releases and media packs, write blogs and social media posts, and input into other promotional materials and events that build awareness of Open Doors.

Brilliant written and verbal communication skills are essential for this role and you’ll be able to write confidently for different media, including blogs, social media platforms and press releases. As a committed Christian*, you will have a good understanding of the Christian community and its various denominational expressions throughout the UK & Ireland. Professional, efficient and a good planner, you will be committed to high standards and show exceptional attention to detail.
