The role

You will work within our Communications and Influencing Directorate which will market and communicate the new charity, our work and impact to all those affected by breast cancer. This will be achieved through the provision of high quality information about breast cancer; ensuring the cause and patient voice is kept high on the policy, political and media agenda to influence policy and practice.

You will play a key role leading the development and delivery of a policy and public affairs strategy in Scotland. You will represent the charity at external meetings and oversee the design and delivery of public affairs plans in line with the charity’s strategic aims and policy calls. You will also support the roll out of major campaigning activity and act as a key spokesperson for the charity in Scotland, representing us in the media as well as with campaigners and senior stakeholders.

About you

You will have a good understanding of the current health policy landscape as well as knowledge of UK parliamentary processes and legislative systems.

You will possess excellent communication skills and have demonstrable ability to work independently and as part of a team.
