Job Details

The Joseph Rowntree Foundation is a social change organisation with a 100-year history. We are built on trust, show we care, and exist to make a difference.
We work with others to put forward sector-leading research, evidence, solutions and stories to the UK’s influencers and decision-makers.

We believe that a prosperous poverty-free UK is within reach - we just need more people to believe it too.

We are looking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Policy Campaigns Manager to develop and drive highly strategic and multi-faceted political influencing campaigns around at least one of our key policy areas - work, social security or housing.

Working as part of the External Affairs team, your aim will be to seek to build political support and demand for JRF solutions on poverty, including through enhancing relationships with influencers, politicians and policymakers across the political spectrum. Working with colleagues, you will monitor, identify and harness emerging political and parliamentary opportunities, to ensure influencing activity is designed and positioned for maximum influencing effect.

We are looking for an experienced, innovative and highly dedicated campaigner who is passionate about achieving a poverty-free UK. A motivated individual who has experience of working in a politically sensitive, ever-changing environment, you will be able to take leadership on your campaigns and work collaboratively across a range of departments, bringing colleagues together from across the organisation to achieve change.

With an ability to understand the current political environment, and experience of co-ordinating projects, you will be comfortable in engaging with the public and media alike. Highly motivated and with a knowledge of public policy in a range of different fields, you will be eager to join us at this exciting time and will bring your astute skills in political analysis to help us make a difference.
