Job Details

The railways are always a talking point for politicians. Why is easy to answer - 1.7bn passenger journeys each year, a gateway to international trade via airports and ports, an impetus for new homes and jobs. The railway plays a vital role in boosting the regional and national economy and our lives.

With that comes a lot of public scrutiny, so it's crucial we improve our stakeholder engagement and public perception. This is where you can make a real difference.

As Public Affairs Manager for our Anglia Route you’ll be responsible for balancing relationships with a diverse range of partners, seeking to build trust and understanding of our Railway Upgrade Plan. We are charged with defending and improving our reputation and help build the case for future investment. Your stakeholders include politicians in Westminster, regional and local councillors, train and freight operator partners and other third-party organisations.
