JOIN THE CITY OF POLICY-DRIVERS
About us
As the governing body of the Square Mile, a global business hub, the City of London Corporation has a big impact on the UK economy, as well as the thousands of people who live, work and visit here. Like many other organisations, we regularly engage with Parliament on issues in which we have particular experience or expertise, helping Parliament to debate and make decisions informed by a wide range of evidence. Within the City Corporation, the Remembrancer's Office is responsible for leading on this engagement.
The role
As our Parliamentary Engagement Officer, you will deal with all aspects of the City Corporation’s interests in Parliament and the Greater London Authority. Often this means the submission of evidence to parliamentary select committees and a significant amount of communication with MPs, Peers and staff of the House of Commons and House of Lords. You will have particular responsibility for driving our programme of strategic engagement, and you can expect to prepare briefing documents, and monitor policy developments and consultation responses and updates. You will also represent the Remembrancer’s Office at external meetings and events, where you will meet with many key opinion formers.
This role is politically restricted.

Highly organised, you will be capable of working under pressure and balancing competing demands. You will also have good IT skills, including the ability to work with databases.
