The TaxPayers' Alliance, Britain's independent grassroots campaign for lower taxes and less government waste, is seeking to recruit a Digital Campaign Manager. The role will involve managing our online presence, including preparing content for, and overseeing, our popular social media channels, and managing our website.
Key Duties

  • Running the TPA social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube etc.), to ensure that our online presence is continually and consistently updated with new and exciting content
  • Producing high quality videos and graphics to communicate our message online
  • Editing video, written content and images for publication
  • Increasing social media following and reach for the main TPA accounts
  • Maintaining the website content, including blogs and bespoke campaign pages
  • Regularly updating and editing the website, including during busy periods involving rapid media responses, to ensure the content is up-to-date
  • Handling issues with the server-side aspects of the website, procuring external assistance as required
  • Participating in grassroots activities and events, including travelling across the UK, where required

The successful candidate should have the following qualities and abilities:

Essential

  • An understanding of, a sympathy for, and a desire to promote the TPA's aims and values
  • A demonstrable passion for campaigning
  • A proactive approach to generating social media content
  • Proven experience with video production and graphic design
  • The ability and commitment to work to often challenging deadlines

Highly desirable

  • Willingness to participate in media activities, including broadcast opportunities
  • Previous experience of managing an organisational social media presence
  • Previous experience of working, even in a volunteer capacity, for a campaign
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop and InDesign
  • Proven experience and competence in the HTML and CSS programming languages, particularly while handling the front-end side of website management
  • Proficiency with G-Suite and Google docs/sheets
  • Previous experience using the NationBuilder platform

Interviews will take place in early January, although we may interview sooner for the right candidate(s). The intended start date is as soon as is practicable.
