Job Details

Lexington Communications’ Property and Planning Practice is looking for a Research Consultant hoping to swap campaigning for votes at elections for campaigning for votes for our clients on planning committees using the power of genuine and exhaustive community and political engagement.

We are building a practice with clients who see planning communications as an essential part of their project team able to deliver significant value, not just a commodity to be bought at the lowest price. We do this by taking a truly bespoke approach to the needs of each site we work on, focusing on client outcomes rather than staff outputs.

Are you someone who can think strategically and wants to be part of a campaign-orientated team? Are able to set a clear course of action and then deliver value through our work on a day to day, week to week and month to month basis? Then this position might be the one for you.

We’re looking for a research consultant able to identify liaise with stakeholders that are often silent during the planning process, and ensure it’s a voice that’s heard by key decision makers.

Our bespoke and innovative approach to consultation means we are winning new work each and every week across a range of locations, and a range of sectors within the development industry. So whether you want to work on a residential or mixed use scheme in a London Borough, on a strategic development site in the Home Counties or on a key piece of infrastructure with the potential to add a decimal point to the GDP of the UK, get in touch.

Our small but growing team means there are opportunities to assist the Practice on tasks including:

  • Sound processing of project administration
  • Helping to organise and run public exhibitions
  • fielding and responding to resident enquiries

Playing an active role in new business opportunities and helping the team to continue to grow in the coming months.

So, if you’ve got a keen interest in local government, property and planning, are willing to learn and wanting to progress in this specialised but fascinating field, then we want to hear from you.

Closing Date: 16 December 2019

Interview/Start Dates

Interviews will be on-going, and an appointment may be made before the closing date. A starting date in January 2020 is preferred.
