Job Details

IPPR is looking for a talented researcher to join our Work and Welfare State team to take a leading role in IPPR’s work on health and social care. This will build on the Institute’s independent inquiry into the NHS, led by Lord Darzi. The successful candidate will get the opportunity to work with leading politicians and policy makers to shape the future of health and care policy in the UK.

The Research Fellow’s responsibilities will include: conducting high quality research and analysis; identifying policy recommendations; managing projects and developing research proposals.

To be successful you will be able to demonstrate interest in and knowledge of health and care policy (or related field). You will have undergraduate level qualification or equivalent training and work experience. Good research and analysis skills will be coupled with an understanding of the health and care sector and its policy environment; enabling you to link analysis effectively to current policy debates.

You will demonstrate skills in quantitative and/or qualitative research methods, complimented by excellent written communication and interpersonal skills; the ability to manage a varied workload to meet deadlines; and a clear commitment to the work and values of IPPR.

IPPR is committed to equality of opportunity and welcomes applications from all sections of the community. As an organisation engaging in critical debate about a wide range of progressive policy issues, we value the creativity and range of perspectives that a diverse team can provide.
