Job Title: Communications Officer/Campaigns Manager
Working For: Living Wage Foundation
Salary: £26,270 including London Weighting/Approx £36,000 including London Weighting
The Living Wage Foundation has an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team as a Communications Officer. We are looking for an exceptionally motivated and organised individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-profile communications environment.
The role will support the objectives of the Living Wage Foundation by communicating our work to a wide range of audiences, including senior business leaders and politicians, through media outlets, website and internal communications channels.
The post holder will be responsible for day-to-day engagement with media and will support the development of creative press campaigns to build awareness of the Living Wage Foundation’s work, including our new Living Hours and Living Wage Places programmes.
The role is also responsible for key communications with our network of 6,000 accredited Living Wage Employers, including our twice-monthly newsletters.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced campaign professional to join the Living Wage Foundation team. You will be responsible for developing and delivering innovative campaigns to promote the Living Wage movement, increase public support for fair pay and encourage Living Wage accreditation. Central to your role is leading our annual Living Wage Week in November where we announce the new rates and celebrate Living Wage Employers nationwide. In addition, an emerging area of work will be our Living Hours project, a new standard for tackling insecure employment, another cause of in-work poverty.
You will be responsible for raising awareness, visibility and use of our brand amongst our network of employers and supporters, creating engaging content to attract and retain employers, building the case for becoming a Living Wage Employer, promoting Living Wage Places and Living Hours, driving the Living Wage civil society and consumer movement and coordinating and overseeing local campaigns. You will be working as part of a passionate, driven, tight-knit team, with a strong commitment to the Living Wage campaign.
