Learning and Work Institute is an independent research, development and policy organisation dedicated to promoting lifelong learning, full employment and inclusion.

We're focused on the big questions. How do we help more people find work and build careers in a changing jobs market? How do we help people to be active and engaged citizens? How can more adults develop their skills over their lifetime?

We’re looking to recruit an Economic Researcher to join our growing team and support us in maintaining excellence in the production of evidence and advice on learning, skills and employment. You will contribute to the design, development and dissemination of high-quality analysis and evidence reviews; interpret often complex evidence in a way that is accessible to a wide range of audiences; work effectively with team members and partners; and help to ensure our work makes an impact on policy and practice.

The ideal candidate will bring strong knowledge and experience of a range of analytical and evaluation techniques and an interest in the policy context for learning, skills and employment.
In return, you will have the opportunity to learn from renowned experts and you will shape and develop research programmes across our areas of expertise. We are a friendly and supportive team, passionate and enthusiastic about our work. We support each other to develop and flourish.

L&W is a Silver Investor in People award holder, committed to equal opportunities and staff development including support for formal qualifications when applicable.

L&W prides itself on being a supportive and flexible employer. We recognise the importance of work-life balance for our staff and will consider flexible working arrangements.

The successful candidate will have to undergo an enhanced DBS check.

Should you require any adjustments to participate in this recruitment process, please make this clear when you apply.
