This is an exciting opportunity to join the UK’s leading charity working to improve life after brain injury.

Every 90 seconds, someone in the UK is admitted to hospital with an acquired brain injury, the effects of which can be devastating and last a lifetime.

Headway is the UK-wide charity that supports those affected. We’re seeking a strategic thinker with an excellent understanding of politics who can help us to raise the profile of Headway among politicians and civil servants working in the fields of health, social care and welfare.

Reporting to the Director of Communications, you will be responsible for devising and initiating political engagement campaigns to improve the lives of people affected by brain injury in the UK, while developing and managing relationships with MPs and other key stakeholders.

Educated to degree level, you will have experience of working in government relations or in a lobbying role. You will also have strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to listen and empathise, and a confidence to persuade and influence.
