Applicants are invited to join the new office team for Fleur Anderson, MP for Putney. You will be the first roles in an exciting team, establishing Fleur's Parliamentary, casework and community campaigns work in Wesminster and Putney.
For each position, a knowlege of Putney is desirable but not essential, experience of this role is essential and symapthy to the values of the Labour Party is essential.
1. Office Manager/Senior Caseworker
Fleur Anderson is seeking an Officer Manager/Senior Caseworker for her busy office and new team, based in Westminster and Putney. The successful candidate will be accustomed to working to tight deadlines and have excellent time management skills. This is a full-time position (or job share).
Key reponsibilities
Oversee the set up of the new office and manage staff in Putney in Westminster, and establish team working to best serve Fleur's Parliamentary work and resident's needs.
Respond to casework
Led community campaigns
Attend surgeries
2. Parlimentary Assistant
This is a full-time position (or job share) and will be based within Fleur's Parliamentary office in Westminster.
Key responsibilities:
To write articles, press releases, speeches, parliamentary questions and briefings to support Fleur's work as MP for Putney.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day running of Fleur’s work in Parliament, and therefore must have previous experience of working in Parliament. The role would be ideal for someone who is not only experienced in this field, but also someone who is driven and can work well under pressure.
To proactively engage the national, regional and local media and social media with Fleur’s work and reactively handle enquiries from the media
To write and oversee production of regular vlogs, Fleur’s annual report and monthly newsletters
To monitor correspondence with constituents
To undertake research on a wide range of policy areas, in order to inform both new and existing campaigns
Upon appointment you will be required to comply with the Baseline Personnel Security Standard, undertaken by the Members’ Staff Verification Office (MSVO). See Members’ Staff Verification Office (MSVO) page for further info. MPs generally pay staff in accordance with IPSA guidelines.
