With an intensive campaign, we have just advanced our project of regaining power in Cambridge by reducing the majority of its Remain Labour MPs. Our next opportunity for further progress is all-up elections for Cambridge City Council - on new boundaries - in May 2020, at which we aim to win control, requiring 7 gains.

Through this we will lay the foundations for our wider campaign for county council and combined authority mayoral elections in 2021.

Ours is a young and vibrant city with a deep liberal tradition. Liberal Democrats have a proud record running and representing Cambridge - and continue to set the pace of the its politics.

For the next steps along our path we urgently need dedicated campaign organisational help, bringing relevant experience, to complement and co-ordinate our impressive team of volunteer activists. This could be achieved through different mixes of capabilities and could be brought at various levels of responsibility; it could take the form of a part- or full-time on-the-ground job. We are in a position to remunerate competitively for a match that works for both of us.
