This a great opportunity to enhance your CV and develop your expertise working as part of the Public Affair’s team in the world’s leading independent conservation organisation.

As Public Affairs Adviser you will operate at the heart of our advocacy in the UK by providing support to the organisation on political strategy and working with WWF colleagues as we influence government policy to support the restoration of nature. You will be at the forefront of our fight for your world in 2020, working with political stakeholders to influence urgent and ambitious action from government across a range of briefs.

You will get involved in developing ambitious proposals for the Party Conferences, project managing party conference activities and supporting the development and delivery of our parliamentary engagement strategy in 2020. You will also lead public affairs work across a range of environmental advocacy issues as well as develop power maps and plans to support our advocacy objectives. We will look to you to build personal relationships with members of parliament and political influencers too. Important will be the ability to provide day to day parliamentary monitoring and political expertise for colleagues as requested.

You must have knowledge of Westminster and Whitehall as well as Parliamentary processes and be able to demonstrate your experience of influencing political decisions. You will also have a proven track record of developing briefings, planning and delivering events and will be comfortable coordinating external stakeholders and internal resources to deliver results. Effective at managing projects, you will possess strong communication, relationship building and coordinating skills too.

A track record of event organisation plus experience of attending and/ or delivering a programme of events at a Party conference would be an advantage.
