Job Details
Esther McVey is an experienced MP and currently a member of the Cabinet. She is seeking to recruit 2 part-time caseworkers for her constituency office in Cheshire. Although ideally seeking people to work 3 full days each week, there is some flexibility for the right candidates.
Although no experience of parliamentary casework is required, we are looking for the following skills; good inter-personal skills, proven experience as a good and accurate written communicator, attention to detail, IT literacy and an ability to manage a diverse work load and your time.
It would also be helpful to have some natural curiosity, which is useful when you are trying to help constituents.
Upon appointment you will be required to apply for security clearance, undertaken by the Security Vetting and Pass Office. See Members’ Staff Security Clearance page for further info. MPs generally pay staff in accordance with IPSA guidelines.
