The Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) founded in 1911 exists to connect, develop, promote and support Commonwealth Country Parliamentarians and their staff to identify benchmarks of good governance and the implementation of the enduring values of the Commonwealth.

The CPA collaborates with member-country Parliaments and other organisations, including the intergovernmental community, to achieve its Statement of Purpose.

The CPA is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Commonwealth national as an Executive Assistant - Secretary General’s Office.

This position requires a motivated, hard-working and organised individual who is committed to the aims of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association.

Reporting to the Head of Private Office, the post holder will also have direct day to day accountabilities to the Secretary General (SG) and Director of Operations. This post works independently performing a wide range of complex and confidential administrative and clerical support duties as well as operational and Human Resources duties.

An integral part of this role is to support the logistical planning of CPA’s governance meetings; biannual executive committee meetings; and annual conference.
