The Electoral Commission is the independent body that regulates political campaign finance, sets standards for well-run elections and encourages people to register to vote.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Registration and Reporting to cover maternity leave. You will lead your team to deliver effective, risk-led, consistent, proportionate and robust regulation of the rules on registration and political finance. You will own and manage the strategic and operational delivery of key regulatory work, including the registration of political parties and campaigners, publishing and checking their financial data, and giving focused compliance advice to support parties and campaigners to comply with the law.

As a senior manager and member of the cross-Commission Senior Leadership Group, you will actively contribute to the leadership of the Commission. You will also be a key member of the Regulation Directorate senior leadership, and will work closely with colleagues across the Commission to deliver on the objectives of your team.

An excellent leader and communicator, you will have experience of building and maintaining strong relationships with a broad range of stakeholders. You will be confident in dealing with senior officials from political parties, elected representatives and government particularly under high levels of public scrutiny. In addition, you will have a strong understanding of the political environment in which the Commission works.
