Job Title: Trusts & Grants Officer/Bid Writer +LOGO
Working For: Roman Catholic Diocese of Portsmouth
Full time 35 hours per week, flexible working/occasional evening and weekend duties
Home based 1-2 days per week with remaining time at the office in Portsmouth
Reporting to the Director of Communications and Corporate Services.
Accountable to the Chief Operating Officer
Initial 12-month contract (with potential to extend)
To play a key role within a small Development / Fundraising team.The post will primarily be to prepare applications to a range of funders, in order to secure support for a variety of projects across the Diocese.Research, prepare and submit well written applications based on information provided by the team and/or Parishes with bids of four, five and six figures to trusts, foundations and statutory bodies.This position will involve building cases for support, working across different teams and occasionally being needed to support in other fundraising activities.
The role is mainly desk-based, daily work will also include researching potential funding opportunities, updating databases with deadlines and tracking and co-ordinating applications.
