This is a permenant post, minimum part time, 3-5 days per week (negotiable)
The Local Party is in an exciting period of growth. Newbury is a Tory-facing constituency, where the Liberal Democrats are the main opposition. In 2015 we were left with only 4 Councillors on West Berkshire Council (WBC), but 2019 saw us win 16 out of the 43 seats on WBC and increase our vote share in the General Election by 9%, with a 7.5% swing to us from the Tories. With a Local Party membership of 600+, we need to capitalise on these recent successes in order to challenge for the Parliamentary seat of Newbury, which we held from 1993 to 2005.
We are looking for experienced campaigner, who will be able to see us through until at least the next Local Elections in 2023, when we plan to regain control of WBC.

The closing time for applications is 5pm.
Applicants shortlisted for interview will be asked to attend an interview in Thatcham at a time to be arranged.
The applicant must be able to start in Spring 2020
