Job Details

1 in 6 of us in England live with a neurological condition. We are looking for an exceptional individual to manage our policy and external affairs work, as we strive to improve neurological treatment, care and support across the country. This role is to cover a period of maternity leave.

We are the only collective voice for more than 80 national and regional brain and spine organisations working together to make life better for the millions of children, young people and adults in England living with a neurological condition.

Reporting to the Chief Executive, you’ll be responsible for delivering a strategy to support the Neurological Alliance’s effort to influence national public policy development and implementation in order to improve health and care service provision for people affected by a neurological condition.

A strong policy and public affairs background is essential, as is a proven track record of turning strategy in to action and of influencing opinion in the health sector. You will be a gifted communicator and collaborator, flexible in your approach with the drive and enthusiasm required to keep up-to-date with this ever-changing field.

It’s a great time to join us for this maternity cover. Thanks to a strong, collaborative neurology sector, neurology has gained increasing policy focus in recent years. Your role will be to capitalise on this momentum, ensuring national policy attention is translated into improvements to services on the ground.

The Neurological Alliance is committed to a policy of providing equal opportunity for all employees and any applicants for employment.
